Vineyards

The wine region of Somontano lies at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains and covers approximately 3000 hectares of vineyards. Grape varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer along with Spanish noble grapes such as Tempranillo. There are over 15 different wineries in the region, many of which offer wine tours and tasting throughout the year. The Somontano wine route, wine bus (summer) and August wine festival enable visitors to experience the very best of the local wine and artisan foods in unforgettable surroundings.
